Have your favourite photo turned into a custom charcoal artwork.

I create hand-drawn charcoal pieces on high quality paper, inspired by rural life and the animals and places we love most. Think horses, working dogs, highland cows, old sheds, windmills and country scenes.

Each artwork is drawn by hand in my Sage & Spur Studio in rural Victoria and made especially for you – no filters, no AI, just time, care and detail.

How it works

  1. Choose your size and number of subjects from the options.

  2. Place your order.

  3. After checkout, you’ll receive an order confirmation email – simply reply with your photos, or email them to me at [your email].

  4. I’ll confirm the details (which photo, pose, any little details like brands, markings, hats, etc.) and give you an approximate timeframe.

  5. When your artwork is finished, I’ll send you a photo before I carefully package and post it to you.

What I can draw

  • Horses and country/rural themes

  • Pets (dogs, cats, working dogs, etc.)

  • Rural sheds, homesteads, windmills and paddocks

  • Simple people portraits

Timeframe
Please allow around 2–6 weeks, depending on size, complexity and my current workload. If you need it by a specific date (birthday, anniversary, show), please get in touch first.

Important details

  • I work from clear, well-lit photos. If your photo isn’t suitable, I’ll let you know and we can choose another.

  • Prices listed are for simple backgrounds. More detailed scenes or extra subjects may require an additional fee, which we’ll discuss before I start.

  • As each piece is made just for you, custom orders are non-refundable once I’ve begun work, but I’ll keep you updated throughout the process.

After you check out:
You’ll receive an email from me so you can send through your photos and tell me exactly what you’d like created. We’ll go over details like subjects, poses, background and any special touches before I start. Nothing goes ahead until we’re on the same page.
